SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 16.85 g, 12 h), Susa, struck under Antiochos I, 281-261. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛΕΩΣ - ΣΕΛEYKOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle with closed wings in his right; to left, monogram within wreath; to left and under throne, monograms. SC 399.7. Nicely toned and of attractive style. Scrapes on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
